Culture Club is taking a trip to Costa Rica in the summer of 2015. Miss Findley, the spanish teacher, is head of the Culture Club. There are roughly 50 students and parents going on the trip. The trip to Costa Rica will roughly last from June 1st through June 10th. The trip costs $2,500. Miss Findley explains, “We will leave from Springfield and fly to an international airport and from there, we will fly to the Costa Rica.”
Maegan Holland says, “I am looking forward to the cultural diversity and meeting the natives and learning their customs.” The group will experience ziplining through the Jungle, whitewater rafting in the Sarapiqui River, horseback riding in Monteverde, planting a tree, going to the beach, visiting a school, a volcano, a hot springs, and kayaking.

Kelli Oplotnik says, “I’m looking forward to go out of the country and to go whitewater rafting.” Whitewater rafting and horseback riding costed extra when you signed up on EF Tours. There were fundraising opportunities for Costa Rica. There was pancake breakfasts at Oddfellows, working at MSU, and working at the Fairgrounds. Maegan Holland explains, “I worked at the fairgrounds as a cashier and I made the food.”

In the summer of 2016, the Culture Club is taking another trip to Europe. The trip will cost 4,070 dollars for students, but for adults it will cost 4,400 dollars. They are going to tour the city. They will stop in Paris, Rome, and Madrid. Also, students have the option to going to different towns such as Pompeii, but it will cost extra from what the initial cost of the trip is. While in Paris the group is able to go see Versailles, see the Hall of Mirrors, and go see the Louvre. On the last day of the trip, they are able to go to the Island of Capri.
