Fair Grove Pulls Through Catholic Game

The Fair Grove volleyball team pulled a win against Catholic in Tuesday night’s game. Before the game there was much anticipation and excitement among the Lady Eagles as well as the fans. Coach Peck said that she is proud of the volleyball girls for their win. The JV played well also. The ending score of the varsity match was 25-10 and 22-20.

Emily Derrick (11) was happy that they played well enough throughput the game to win. “We all ate lots of pasta as well as we have been practicing really hard,” said Derrick. Derrick also mentioned that the whole team has been training after school. She also went on to say, “Our main goal for tonight is to improve our hits and balances, especially me. As well as to go after every ball. Although overall our main thing is to play as a team and of course win!”

After the game the Lady Eagles were proud winners. Cierra Lenox (11) felt god about the overall JV game. She added, “The first set we were kinda bad, second set was definitely better, and the third set we pulled through. Overall score of the game. We won, they lost.”

Shea Wallace (11) said of the varsity game, “We did really well of reaching our goal as far as improvement goes. We really stepped up and worked hard together as a team which is what really lead us to winning.”
