Fair Grove Community Gives a Helping Hand

In the small town of Fair Grove many touching and inspiring things happen. We try to the best of our abilities to help anyone in need. On Friday August 19, 2016 the town of Fair Grove came together to participate in a fundraiser for Reiss Kaderly. Reiss Kaderly is a sweet three year old who was born with a congenital heart defect.

She has had many surgeries to try and repair the defect. Reiss has had many check ups but her most recent one didn’t behold the good news they were hoping for. The doctors sent her to Houston and she was admitted immediately for heart failure. She was in the hospital for a month. A medication had been found that helped her but didn’t cure it. She got to go home on Friday 19, 2016.

That Friday night the High School held a hat day in her honor raising 500 dollars. Following school that day at the football game, the community and fans raised 1,300 dollars for Reiss. The fundraiser was put together by Mark Talbert. Mark has gotten to know the Kaderly family well through coaching football and track. Reiss’s father, Roy Kaderly, is a coach at Marshfield High School.

“It was the largest amount of money given in one night for Fair Grove,” Mr. Stallings stated. It was so touching that one of the referees that night at the football game donated his earnings back to Reiss fundraiser. Mark  delivered the money to Marshfield High School himself to Roy Kaderly. The Kaderlys said they would love to bring her out to a football game as soon as she is feeling better.
