Elevation Studio is a dance studio located in Fair Grove. They offer a range of  youth dance classes and also offer adult fitness classes.

Kristen Strickland who owns and runs Elevation Studio said, “We offer youth dance classes in ballet, jazz, hip hop, lyrical/ contemporary, tap/musical theater, acro/tumbling, and cheer. We also offer adult fitness classes,” so they have a range of classes for anyone.

Strickland also said that the youth dance classes’ age ranges from 18 months to 18 years old. The class tuition is $65/month and they have a dress code available on their website.

Strickland not only owns Elevation Studio, but also teaches many of the classes they offer and she directs the competition team.

“Our classes encourage dancer health and wellness, both physically and mentally. We teach dance technique, but also encourage our dancers to shine bright on stage through boosting self confidence, dream big through measurable goal setting, and rise up over challenges,” Strickland commented about the use of the classes and the purpose of taking them.

Along with that, the Elevation Studio website (www.elevationstudiomo.com) says, “Our curriculum is structured, engaging, age appropriate, and fun! We take pride in our dedication to instilling the love of dance, as well as self love and confidence, both on the stage and in life.”

The website also says that Elevation Studio is split into three sessions for the classes, a Fall session that goes from September to December. Then a Spring session that goes from January to June, and also a Summer session that is July to August.

The Fall session leads up to a Winter Showcase that is informal for the dancers. The Spring session leads up to a formal Spring Recital at the Gillioz Theater in Springfield. The Summer session is made up of a five week session and ends with a performance on the Springfield Cardinals baseball field, that is for ages five and up.

Adults or children that want to enroll in athletic or dance classes can start at the beginning of any one of the sessions, which can be done on their website.
