Freshman student, Ty Hart, is making his mark both on and off the field. From scoring in soccer to leading in Pep Club, Ty’s drive and commitment is propelling him through freshman year.
Ty keeps himself busy, and involved in school with a wide variety of extracurricular activities, especially within the school’s clubs. Ty said, “I’m involved in multiple clubs, including Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), Distributive Education Clubs of America (DECA), Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD), and Pep Club.”
He stated, “In Pep Club, all I can do is cheer loud, but I still try to show my support.” Ty added, “In Pep Club, I’m the freshman boys’ representative.”
Ty holds leadership positions outside of school as well. Ty stated that he is the president of his church’s teacher quorum.
He was a freshman starter for the Fair Grove Soccer Team. Ty said, “In soccer, I’ve contributed a total of nine goals and six assists.” Ty added, “One of my favorite memories is winning the Marshfield tournament at the beginning of the season.”
The soccer coach Ryan Highstreet, stated, “Ty has an endless motor and is relentless, he has tremendous foot skill and works constantly on his craft, he has a will to get better.”
Highstreet said, “Ty has had to learn how to play against bigger kids and has needed to make adjustments to have success.” Highstreet added, “His work ethic has made his teammates better…he is a team guy.”
Ty is also excited for what’s ahead in other sports. He said, “I’m looking forward to track season later this year, as I’m planning to do high jump for the third year in a row with my friend and competitor, Kaleb Kane (9).”
Ty’s brother, Wes Hart (12), also recognized Ty’s leadership qualities. Wes said, “Ty won’t be pushed around, and he stands firmly in what he believes in.” Wes added, “Ty is willing to listen to his coaches during practice, allowing him to grow and improve in the sports he loves to play.”
