As the fourth quarter comes to a close Fair Grove High School, seniors are balancing excitement, reflection, and the wonders for their life after graduation while making the most of their final weeks through friendships, activities, and lifelong memories.
For many seniors, the best parts of the year have come from exciting experiences and time spent with others. Senior Kenna Fishback shared that participating in senior assassin has been a highlight, saying it’s “fun getting to hangout and be around people outside of school.” Similarly, Senior Dylan George said his favorite memory was traveling to England over spring break with his friends, showing the meaningful experiences that have shaped this year.
As graduation approaches, excitement is a common theme. Fishback said she is very excited to graduate and plans to attend southwest baptist university to major in church ministry. George also looks forward to continuing his education, planning to attend evangel to study history education. Others are taking different paths, Senior Jackson Austin shared that he plans on joining the army, while Senior Carson Trussell also mentioned going into the military after high school.
Their advice for younger students varied, but many seniors emphasized making the most of high school. Fishback encourages students to “have fun” and not stress about planning their entire future too early. Austin added that it’s important to “take every year seriously and don’t slack,” while also being kind and building friendships. Senior Hali Stokes shared a similar message, saying “to cherish every second because time goes by faster than expected.”
During their last few days, seniors are staying busy but also trying to enjoy their remaining time. Senior Adrick Wilson said he is focusing on track and preparing for FBLA state, while also getting ahead on school work. Senior Audrey Lemon is balancing soccer and clubs while “enjoying the last moments” with classmates. Others like Fishback, are spending time with friends and participating in leadership roles through school and church activities.
The senior class is finishing strong, making memories, preparing for the future and appreciating the time they have left. Whether heading to college, the workforce, or the military, these students are ready to take the next step while holding onto the moments that made their senior year unforgettable.
