Cole Johnston has been the agriculture teacher at Fair Grove High School and Middle School for seven years. He has become one of the favorite teachers at Fair Grove and his impact here will not be forgotten.
Johnston said, “I have accepted to be the third agriculture education teacher and FFA advisor at Branson High School. As far as what I am looking forward to the most, is my own children having a much closer connection with family.”
He continued, “My wife is a Branson graduate and her family all live around Branson so the opportunity for my children to be closer to grandparents and their cousins was a positive move for me. I will also have the opportunity to teach my nephews and niece.”
Johnston has been an influential teacher at Fair Grove. He has given students an opportunity to learn more about agriculture and compete in FFA (Future Farmers of America) competitions.

Shayla Haddock (12) said, “He truly wants every kid that he sees to succeed in life, and will help us all out to the best of his ability. We will all miss him very much!”
Johnston’s favorite memory of teaching at Fair Grove High School was the 2022 State Livestock Judging Competition. As his second state winning team, he took great pride and validation from this competition.
Johnston said, “Obviously I have had two amazing teaching partners In Matt Crutcher and Makayla Piotrowski and need to give them both a huge shoutout,” He continued, “The students who have made just as big of an impact on myself as I have on them, and the amazing staff here at Fair Grove Schools have made my seven years here an outstanding experience and one I know I will miss.”
