Spring break for Fair Grove schools occurred from March 14th to March 22nd. A lot of the students and staff have waited eagerly for this week to come.
I love to hang out with my friends during spring break. I spent the two weekends with my dad, and we went to Branson a few times throughout our time together.
Before spring break, I looked forward to hanging out with my friends specifically on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. I also looked forward to track practices in the morning on those days, and going to places like Silver Dollar City.
Trey George is a sophomore at Fair Grove and goes on different trips every spring break. Before Spring Break, George said, “I’m looking forward to seeing new places and eating new food.”
Macy Ahnen is a junior at Fair Grove and also enjoys her spring break. “Three things I look forward to over spring break are hanging out with friends and family, taking a break, and going fishing at the lake.”
Kaleb Kane is a freshman at Fair Grove. He stated, “Three activities that I look forward to doing during spring break are playing Rocket League with my friends, fishing, and just hanging out with friends.”
Lindsay Dunning, science teacher at Fair Grove High School, explained, “I am going to the Bahamas for Spring Break. I am looking forward to swimming with the beach pigs.”
Students like George are waiting for new forms of entertainment to come out during spring break and March as a whole, such as shows or movies and albums from music artists.
“There are actually two things dropping: the first is the new season of Invincible is coming out on the 18th of March,” George stated. He continued, “The second is that Kanye West is coming out with his new album Bully on the 27th of March as well.”
The teachers and students are looking forward to resetting their brains during the break. Dunning mentioned, “Just spending time with my family allows me to have a nice reset from school. We try not to talk about anything academic, and just have maximum amounts of fun.”
Ahnen said, “Over spring break I plan to reset my brain by cleaning my room and just giving my mind a break from all the thinking school requires.”
There are some things that people like and dislike about spring break. I personally don’t like not being able to see my friends all the time, but I feel like the good of the break outweighs the bad of it.
George said, “There is nothing I don’t like about spring break and I love everything about it.”
Spring break is a fun time for the staff and students at Fair Grove and I think everyone deserves a break from the hard work they do at the school.
