Jeremy Faubion has been a history teacher and a coach at Fair Grove for 16 years. He teaches freshman American history and is both a girls basketball and football coach.

Faubion’s class is a course that all incoming freshmen experience when they join high school at Fair Grove. Even though the majority of Faubion’s career has been with the purple and white, he has been teaching and coaching in schools since 1997. Faubion loves and cherishes being a Fair Grove Eagle. Faubion stated, “I love the size of the school, and how almost everyone has a sense of school and community pride.”

Community is very important to Faubion and has found that Fair Grove is a great place to spend his life. Faubion explained, “I have had chances to go to other districts, but I chose to have my own kids go to school here because it is a great district. We bleed purple!”

One of his children, Alyssa Faubion (10), loves the connection that she and her dad share. She has many good memories that she has gotten to share with her dad and appreciates all that he has done for her. Alyssa Faubion added, “He’s taught me how to work hard, be the bigger person in situations, as well as many other valuable lessons. Dad has taught me (literally, I was in his class freshman year) a ton of important things that will continue to stick with me as I grow older.”

Another person at Fair Grove that Faubion has impacted is Allison Findley (12). Findley is one of the players on the girls basketball team that Faubion has taught and coached. Findley mentioned, “Coach Faubion is uplifting and encouraging, there’s times where I’m not feeling confident and maybe second guessing myself, but he’s always on the sideline complimenting the little things, even though my shots aren’t going in and it helps me with my confidence.”

Findley is thankful for all that Faubion has done for both herself and the team. Findley stated, “The Fair Grove Lady Eagles basketball team would not have the accomplishments we have and future achievements, without you. Your enthusiasm, motivation, knowledge of basketball, and view on life means so much and I will never forget your impact on this team.”

Alyssa Faubion is also appreciative for what Faubion has done both inside and outside the classroom. Alyssa explained, “I’d like to thank my dad for all he’s done for me my whole life so far. I’d like to thank him especially for being a great American History teacher in my freshman year, for every deer drive we’ve taken, and all the Dairy Queen he’s gotten me…”

Fair Grove wouldn’t be the same without the spirit and heart that Faubion adds to the lives of those around him. Alyssa Faubion added, “Overall, I’d just like to thank him for being an awesome dad and always being there when I need it. I love you dad!”
