Fair Grove wrapped up another year and another poll for the Senior Superlative winners with the graduating class of 2025.
Senior Superlatives is a poll of questions that are asked to the graduating class about who they think fits the role the best. Each superlative ranges to ‘most likely to travel the world’, to ‘best smile.’ For seniors some of it is their chance to be recognized by their peers. Fair Grove Yearbook takes the nominations for each senior, and the pictures that go into the yearbook itself.
Amber Clemens (12) explained Fair Grove superlatives, “I think the reason senior superlatives are seen as important is because they recognize and celebrate students for their talents and unique characteristics that bring to light their contributions to the school.”
Clemens continued, “Senior superlatives also highlight students and their personality traits or achievements that may be overlooked on just a regular basis. It is important to recognize others and what makes them unique or quote on quote special.”
Jackson Anderson (12) shared his thoughts on his nomination of best dressed. “Another day for a fella like me.” Many of the winners were very happy with their specific superlatives.
Clemens elaborated on the Fair Grove Yearbook itself, “I think a yearbook is the way we commemorate seniors last year in high school. They are in the spotlight for most of the book with senior quotes, the superlatives, and possibly details about what clubs or sports they played.”
The photo taking process itself can involve the nominees to hold props to showcase more specifically what they were nominated for. Shea Skouby (12) explained her photo taking process, “Me and Colin found a world globe in Mrs. Johnson’s room and used it for the photo. Taking photos was pretty fun!”
Clemens (12) shared how she had to take her photos for being nominated for most artistic, “Originally, Zach and I were just going to stand next to each other. Then I think it was Carson Trussell who said we should take the photo with our art pieces.”
Fair Grove Yearbook is also a huge part of the Senior superlative process. Yearbook is the class that had originally made Senior superlatives known.
Yearbook staff, Carson Trussell (11), explained that he is taking the class for only a semester and enjoys the less stressful environment.
Trussell shared, “You don’t have to be overworked, you just do the work you need to do. Photos take all day to take and is a very monotonous task but it’s worth it.” Fair Grove Yearbook captures photos and memories of the Fair Grove District along with the 2024-2025 graduating class of senior superlatives.
