First Priority is a student led club that meets every Thursday morning before school. At the meetings students pray, learn about Jesus, play games, and listen to speakers talk about the Lord.
In the school year of 2024-2025, a program titled First Priority wanted to come and upgrade Fair Grove High School’s FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes). When Coach William Reed, a teacher sponsor of FCA, informed Dylan George (12) of the switch, George’s response was ¨Lets go baby I am so downski!¨
Kenna Fishback (12) expressed, ¨First Priority is a good outreach club where we can show others the love of Jesus Christ.¨
First Priority is student led. Club leaders will stand outside welcoming others inside with the goal of making everyone feel welcome. Follow up leaders like Fishback will see response cards that students fill out at meetings and go check on certain students. They make sure they are okay, pray with them, and answer as many questions as they can.
George explained, ¨First Priority is a great place to find hope, peace, love and fellowship as well as learn more about Jesus and how he paid the debt for our sin on the cross.¨
Every week there is a new theme or focus. It follows the acronym EPIC. “E” stands for Equip, “P” stands for Prepare, “I” stands for Invite, and “C” stands for Connect. Every invite week, club members invite as many people as they can to join them at the meeting. They have snacks and drinks for the first 100 people at the meeting.

Being a part of First Priority has not only helped students but leaders as well. Fishback said, ¨It has helped me personally grow in my relationship with God by connecting with fellow believers that can walk alongside me in my faith journey.¨
George added, ¨Being a part of First Priority has given me an awesome opportunity to tell others about the good news of Jesus.¨ He further explained, ¨ I believe First Priority is important because it is an outlet for kids to hear the Gospel of Jesus.¨
Susanne Feldman, one of the teacher sponsors, explained, ¨Finding and following Jesus is the best decision anyone can make. It’s really cool to see students who are encouraging each other in a positive direction.¨
Fishback expressed, ¨I think others should be involved because at First Priority you can find peace, love, hope, and so much more alongside other students at Fair Grove!¨
First Priority will meet every Thursday morning at 7:15. The next meeting will be on November 6th, 2025.
