Brooke Daniels (11) is a very involved student at Fair Grove High School. She is currently in the midst of basketball season, coming off of a very successful state title last year.

Not only is she involved in basketball, but she also plays volleyball, softball, and runs track. She is an acting member in NHS (National Honors Society), SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions), FFA (Future Farmers of America), and FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes).

Lindsay Martin, Fair Grove Track coach and seventh and eighth grade science teacher, explained how Daniels is always prepared for her races, “Brooke brings the competitive edge in nearly everything she does. I never have to give her a pep talk on ‘getting up’ for a race. She’s always ready.”

Daniels is a very hard working student athlete. Her mom, Rhonda Perryman, is the Administrative Assistant (Assistant to the Superintendent) for Fair Grove High School. Perryman stated, “Brooke is driven and has worked hard to be successful in sports and in the classroom. She has always made me proud with her work ethic, but what I’m most proud of is how she truly cares about her teachers, coaches, teammates, family and friends.”

Last year, Daniels and the Fair Grove Varsity Girls Basketball team won first place in state, securing the schools first girls basketball state title. This year her and the team have continued this winning streak with dedication and hard work towards their season. “Our team just placed third in the Nixa Invitational Tournament, beating Nixa for the third place title. This was a good win for us because every single team in the tournament was state ranked,” Daniels explained.

In the 2023 volleyball season, Daniels and her team brought home the state title. Fair Grove Varsity Volleyball Coach, Tonya Peck said, “Brooke’s athletic ability is top notch but that is not what makes her such an amazing athlete. It is her ability PLUS her dedication, commitment, work ethic, drive, love of competition, and love she shows her teammates. These qualities place her above her competition day in and day out.”

“Daniels is a weapon on and off the court,” Coach Peck explained, “Brooke is an excellent student. She brings her attitude and work ethic from the court/field/track and wants to be the best that she can be. She takes pride in her grades and is a respectful and conscientious student.”

“Brooke is a player that every coach and player would want on their team,” Dani Kepler, Girls’ Basketball Assistant Coach, continued, “You wouldn’t be able to tell what her favorite sport is, because she has the same drive and gives 100% in each season that she has.”

Brooke Daniels has proven time and time again her dedication to her athletics and education at Fair Grove High School. She continues to build a legacy through hard work and grit at her school.
