Kezia Price has been an art teacher at Fair Grove for four years. She teaches all middle school art classes and some high school art classes. Price said, “Fair Grove is the only school I have taught at and was my dream school to work at.”
Something Price really enjoys being a part of is art club. She loves seeing all of the middle schoolers’ creativity and having more time with them after school. Price added, “The students are always energized and excited to create art.”
She enjoys the mix of high school students and middle school students she encounters throughout the day. Price mentioned, “I feel like because I teach high school classes, I get to continue building on my relationships with my students past middle school.” Price loves to watch her students grow after middle school.
Price is about to start her first year as an assistant soccer coach for the Fair Grove girls team, and she is excited to build stronger bonds with her students. She played soccer in middle school, high school, college, and in a men’s league after college. Price added, “I love that I get to encourage student athletes to persevere, gain leadership qualities, teamwork, sportsmanship, and grow as human beings through a sport I love.”
Outside of school Price loves to spend time with her husband, her two sons, her twin sister, and of course Stephanie Brown, another art teacher at Fair Grove Highschool! Brown stated, “We hang out frequently outside of school. We go out to eat, have game nights, and spend time with our families.” She continued, “We have barbecues, go to the movies, and take little road trips. We go get our nails done. She is one of my best friends, so we truly just enjoy our time together.”
Price and Brown also enjoy traveling to sporting events together. Brown mentioned, “We have traveled multiple times to district and state games, and it’s always memorable. Home soccer games are always so much fun.”
Price and Brown have a connecting door in their classrooms. Brown shared, “I love having a room connected to Mrs. Price’s for many reasons. I am kind of back here by myself as far as teacher neighbors go, so it’s great that I have at least one person close by, and her being the other art teacher is even better.”
Brown said, “My favorite thing about Mrs. Price is that she has such a big heart. Don’t get me wrong, she is spicy, but she cares deeply for so many people: her students, her family, her friends, and their families. She is always thinking of others and doing little things that make their days better. She is just a lovely person.”
